1. Gently try to twist your breast just like you would a baby that is bottle fed. They will release.

2. Yes my baby takes a short nap in the morning about 45 min. Then at about 1pm he takes a 2 hour nap.

3. I have not started to give my baby water yet. My doctor said no water until 6 months, but we have started solid food.

4. And we do wipe down his mouth after feeding to prevent thrush.

I've heard the flicking is to shock them into not doing it again...havent done it. Currently my nipples are sore from her clamping down.

Aww I don't breast feed but wouldn't flick them on the cheek lol might upset baby. I imagine that hurts when they clamp on you though ??. My little one still has a few naps each day but his last feed is midnight, I don't wash his gums, never heard of that and I don't give him water. (He has 7oz of formula 5 times a day)

I read if they bite to detach and put them down 5 minutes before resuming the feeding.

Yeah I don't want to flick her cheek either, I'm sure it would scare her and I would feel so sad

2) we just went from 4 naps down to 3 this past week. He doesn't take long naps, so he goes down more often. I have a "no nap after 6" rule since he goes down around 730-8

I should be freezing a baby cloth and be giving it to her to help at least with teething. Great idea!

Lactation consultant suggested keeping finger next to baby's mouth while she's feeding and when she clamps quickly break the seal of her latch by pulling the corner crease of her mouth outward away from nipple.
