Why?? ??? Why won't baby girl sleep in her bassinet?? I've had it...I can't waste my time anymore…

My little one is the exact same way! We have a bassinet at the beside and as soon as I lay her in it, not more than a couple minutes and she's wide awake! Additionally, this past week, she has been staying more awake during the day and sleeping about every three hours through the night before waking to be fed. We hit 4 weeks yesterday. Hopefully you'll start to see a change in schedule!

My first was the same and borrowed a friends Sleepyhead, it was a game changer. I also had a muslin that smelled of me in there with him and played some white noise/heartbeat sounds. It seemed to help....

Yeah maybe it has something to do with the silence at night cause here we are morning and I lay her down by herself on the couch and off to sleep...not a peep. I'll try the background noise tonight.

My girl was really fussy yesterday from 9am-noon and again from 4pm-7pm. I had coffee in the morning and chocolate in the afternoon. I think they didn't agree with babies digestive system so today I am going without both to see how it goes. My baby really doesn't like the bassinet so we have her in a rock and play by our bed at night. She sleeps well. Usually wakes up 2x a night to eat then right back to sleep.

Don't give up. We just went through this too and last night she did 2 three hour stretches in her bassinet!!! Don't know why last night was different but it was. Just keep keeping your baby in there and trying.

My daughter would never sleep flat on her back so we bought a rock n play which saved us. With our son, we put him right in their from day one and he's had no trouble sleeping. He will be a month on Friday.

Last night was our first night home with Sullivan. I held him in my arms all night long on the couch. Needless to say I am dreading tonight.

My only advice is don't put them completely to sleep then set them down. That wakes them up. Get them close then lay them down. We do the same for day time naps so he gets used to putting himself to sleep or falling asleep alone.

I gave up and let him sleep in the bed. I swore to never bed share but I couldn't take it, he won't sleep in anything but arms day or night! He sleeps 4 hour stretches from 10pm to 10am.

Oh lady. I'm right there with you. She will only for a hour or so. Our 18mth old co sleeps with us and it's a nightmare bc I can't break him from it without big ordeals. I gave in and let her sleep beside me half the night. It's hard to not give in when your exhausted! The only thing I found to help is a vibrating thing they sell at Walmart. Of course it only helps for so long.

Oh my lol policewife....you have your 18 month old and now your newborn lol...do you get any sleep?? ?

it's tough!! I'm gonna try her again in her bassinet but if she fusses I'm gonna cave in..I need sleep!! I went to church today, thought I looked pretty good, until a "sweet" 12 year old said, "gee Shari, you look exhausted.." needless to say I was offended lol...sigh

Oh my gosh. Kids always say the perfect things! How funny! And we get sleep, just not much room!! We've tried getting Hunt in his own toddler bed but it ends up in a crying match where he's vomiting from screaming and crying. I swear he's so scared to be alone. I don't know what we will do ?

Yep. I bought a pack n play with a bassinet and changing table and it is not being used ?? baby has to feel/smell me next to him

I swear I'm having the same problem , but the weird thing is that she will sleep in it during the day but as soon as it's bed time she only wants to be in my bed ?
