I had an apple, banana, large bowl of bran cereal, coffee, and I'm still hungry. I obviously don't want to keep eating....already looking forward to an early lunch!
Me ? I just can't get full . I'm afraid of gaining weight . I don't eat junk food or sweats but I sure do it a lot of grain fooods . And drink a lot of water . I eat like 2,500 calories a day !
Im always hungry even with drinking 4000ml of water a day. I dont want to gain weight but want to make sure im having right amount to breastfeed with no problems. I would feel better if i could work out but im only 2wks pp.
Yup, your body needs more kilojoules to breastfeed than it did making a baby!
I made bowls of salads to keep in the fridge (with grains or pasta to bulk it out) as well as protein filled muffins or slices to have on hand to munch as I fed. I made smoothie bags to just add milk to and blend with lots of goodies to keep me full, as I was always starving! Pretty sure I made eggs and beans on toast for a few midnight feeds much to my husbands dismay!
@ mumma- eggs n beans lol- my hubby is so used to my gas issues nothing alarms him. I farted the other morning in bed and he said, "hunny your glory days are over, it's time I take back and be the man" lol I still have so much gas.
Ok ladies--- so as long as we're eating healthy and drinking lots-we'll be losing some weight right?? I have so much to lose I don't want to go back to snacking cookies and ice cream.
Yep I'm eating round the clock. My aunt suggested mason jar salads kinda like pp who mentioned premade salads. Both Jude and I have gas. It's hilarious the other night we were taking turns and I was cracking up so hard. I lay him down and off he goes!
My honest opinion, and easier said than done, is not to worry about weight loss this soon after having a baby- focus on that new human your body made and ensure you're eating a balanced diet. If you want a donut have a damn donut, but don't go overboard! Start some gentle exercise once you feel up to it, like walking around the block or around a big park, nothing hugely strenuous! Drink plenty of water, eat plenty of fresh non-processed fruits/veg/meats/grains!
As women we put so much pressure on ourselves to look amazing as soon as we've popped a baby out! It took nine months to make a baby and your body adjusting, take nine months to get back to what pre-baby looked like, enjoy the time as a new mum instead of worrying about a bum or tummy that jiggles more than it used to ❤️❤️
