You'd think I'd remember this....how long does bleeding usually last after a section? I know google says up to 6 weeks, my nurses said a few weeks and it tapers off, what has your experience been?

I'm still bleeding 5w out ? mist days just spotting. Today is a different story.

I bled for 4 weeks.

I think I bled 6 weeks..then I got my period after a few days. I felt like I bled forever.

Ok looking like 6 weeks is average like google said. Hope my period waits a while though.

My first I bled for 7 1/2 weeks and with my second, only 2 1/2 weeks.

I've heard it's different for everyone depending on how much they take during the operation. For me it was just under 5 weeks, but I had sex at 6 weeks and bled again for a day or two.

@jayjay oh interesting I didn't know it depended on how much they took.

Two different doctors did my sections. I had a resident with the first and my normal doctor with my second. I also heard it depends on how well the doctor cleans you out. I believe it based off my bleeding pattern between the two.
