For me the really painful contractions came after my water broke. With my induction pitocin was started at 9:15pm. And my water broke around 4:30-5am. So pretty much right after that I couldn't really tolerate the pain any longer. Well plus lack of sleep and food didn't help either.

It depends on what pitocin level they have you on.. if it just started it’s the lowest so it usually don’t hurt ... the higher it goes the more it hurts

I've been induced with pitocin 4 times. My contractions always started right away, but usually about 3 hours in they started hurting so I would get the epidural. Last baby my epidural literally came out, I was still kinda numb, but not enough that I didn't feel anything lol. I felt the last hour and a half of contractions....after that I am so glad I opted for an epidural with all my babies lol. They always started me at level 2 pitocin and moved it up every 30 minutes. Last baby after 18 hours they turned off my pitocin for about 45 minutes because I wasn't progressing, when they started it back up they started at 2 again and did the same thing, moved it up every 30 minutes. She was born 4 and a half hours later.

I was induced Monday night. I was going for a vbac so they could only give me low doses of pitocin but it took forever. I was at 4 cm for almost 20 hours but once I hit 6 cm the rest flew by! Good luck!

Can't really remember. I think after they broke my water everything ramped up pretty quick. I remember asking to go ahead and get the epi shortly after because I could tell it was going to make my contractions more intense.

Thanks ladies! They broke my water 30 minutes after I initially posted this which definitely made things move quickly. Baby girl was born just under 3 hours later. ? The whole thing was less than 5 hours from the start of pitocin to baby.

I was scared to be induced because I heard the contractions were much more intense, but honestly I thought they were about the same as the contractions for my first labor which wasn't induced.
