TSH levels - absolutely terrified!!
I had gestational diabetes with my daughter who was born 8 months ago. I failed the 10 week follow-up glucose test and had to see an endocrinologist. She said my body was still crazy from breastfeeding and thought my thyroid felt lumpy so she wanted to see me in 6 months which is April 7. I went yesterday for the pre-appointment bloodwork and the results were posted online. They're not good from what Google tells me. My TSH number was 97.1, and the normal range is .358-3.74. Everything I read says levels that high often end in miscarriage. I'm freaking out because now I know all of this and there's nothing I can do until my doctor is in the office tomorrow. Anyone else ever have high TSH counts?

I have thyroid issues not pregnant and they go crazy with pregnancy. I went to my PCP at 3w4d bc I had a home HPT to get my TSH checked and it was up to 8 and I'm on medication. She thought I was crazy coming in so early till see saw my results (last pregnancy in PA now in California so new doc). It was 1.2 about a month ago. If I would have waited longer to go in it would have been double digits. I got it checked at 7 weeks with my son and it spiked to 16. There is a higher risk of miscarriage but they'll load you up with thyroid meds and monitor it closely. I usually have to double up on meds each trimester for a few days to get it back down and then it's good for a few weeks. Don't worry tonight but call first thing tomorrow and see if they can see you tomorrow for a prescription.
