Officially up 10 pounds...
Well at 19w5d I weighed myself this morning, and I've officially put on 10 pounds this pregnancy. I'm feeling super conflicted about this. I know weight gain is just a normal part of the process, but I didn't expect it to make me feel so down. I'm trying to look at the bright side - weight gain means baby is growing, right?

Yes deffo look at the bright side that baby is growing!! U shuldnt be feeling sad about 10lbs!
Just remember everyone is different :)
Healthy weight gain for 1st trimester is 4lbs, then 1lb per week from thereafter until u get to last month n 1-2 is the average!
So seeing as your nearly 20 wks a healthy weight gain is around 12lbs
Your fine chick X

I'm feeling conflicted to. It's my first and I know it's baby growing but it's hard to accept. Your not alone in feeling conflicted. This week I've been hungry all the time and eating so have been a bit emotional over the pounds I've put on.

Weight gain is good! If you hadn't gained anything it would be concerning.

It's just so strange, and maybe hormones are partly to blame, but as much as the reasonable side of me is shouting that this is a good and normal thing my emotional side is wondering what it's going to feel like to be a whale haha. I guess I'm just afraid that I'm on the way to gaining an unhealthy amount of weight. Women I work with are terrifying me with stories of gaining 54 and 66 pounds!! You ladies are really helping me feel better though! Thank you :)
