C section recovery
For all of the ladies who have had c sections- just wondering when you finally started feeling better ? I'm in so much pain (only 2 days post partum) but it's so frustrating not being mobile enough to take care of my baby :(

It depends. My first was an emergency and I was literally ripped open to save my oldest's life. That time it took 4 weeks before I started feeling back to normal. I just had my third csection, and this was planned. I was off pain meds 8 days pp, back to driving 10 days pp, and mostly pain free 12 days pp. I still feel some pain if I overdue it...like today we did a bunch of errands, and I was sore by the end. But for the most part I feel great at 3 weeks pp.

Following. I'm 4 days post section. I'm feeling a lot better & more able to take care of baby, but only if I take my pain meds on a schedule. Hoping to wean myself from taking them so much ?

The first couple of days I relied on the pain medication to do everything. I couldn't function without them. I was somewhat normal by 3 weeks and totally fine by 4 weeks.

By 5 days PP I felt good as new.B3 days PP I felt confident to get out of bed & do things for myself

At 7 days the pain started to get better. It probably was two weeks before I could do mostly everything for myself. Unfortunately from my section incision to my belly button feels sensitive/numb. I've also been having a strange pain in my bladder if I go to long without peeing.

At almost a week pp i have my moments where the pain hits me but overall im not in extreme pain like day 2. you have to haveee to keep moving. Im only in pain when im sitting or laying for too long. They gave me motrin and Percocet for pain relief and i try to keep up with the motrin for sure and perc only when i really need it.

I'm exactly 3 week pp today and I feel 100% better. Make sure to take it easy. I kept thinking I felt fine and then I would over due it. After about a week pp I was able to take care of the baby alone ( so went back to work) but I just had to be slow about getting up. Also I slept on the couch sitting up which helped a lot

I think it must get easier after each c-section... I'm one week pp after my fourth. I stopped with the narc pain meds the day after surgery (didn't like how nauseous I felt with what was prescribed). I've just been taking one or two motrins and regular Tylenol. And surprisingly, I've been getting around as normal and only have minimal pain.

Took me 3 weeks

My baby will be 3 weeks tomorrow and I just now feel 90-95%. I was off pain meds including ibuprofen by 2 weeks and within this last week really helped with cleaning and cooking. Yesterday I was on course swing my golf clubs without pain so just hang in there! This was a scheduled section and I ve had one section before.

I'm 1 month PP from my first emergency c section, and I'm doing the same SAHM jobs I was doing prior to delivery. It all depends on how fast you heal. Keep walking when they tell you to walk, stay on top of your pain management and rest!i stopped feeling pain after 2 weeks pp

Had a planned csection 3 weeks ago today an by day 10 I was feeling a lot better an was off of pain meds. This however was a repeat section. Now some days when I over do it cleaning or walking an what not I'll feel sore til the next day but I started feeling alot better sooner this time around. First section it took around 3-4 weeks before I felt good enough to do my normal daily stuff.

Thanks ladies. Really hoping that I feel better soon. They prescribed me oxycodone for pain and I'm worried about taking it, does it affect the baby?

I'm 6 days PP and I'm feeling better already. Not completely normal but when I take my medicine I feel normal so I'm able to get up and keep moving but not over doing it. I was prescribed oxycodine as well and it has no effects on baby with breastfeeding.

A week or so- in 2 weeks in - I feel better but still can't sneeze w/o it hurting

Take the pain meds! You are better off taking them and managing the pain than being miserable. You won't need them too long.
