Sharp pains

Was sitting on the toilet and I turned quickly to grab the toilet paper and got a sharp pain in my lower left pelvic region.. It then really hurt to walk/ move positions and even to touch.. I layed down hoping for it to go away, but it's been about 3 hours now and the pain is duller but still there. Do you think this is a cause for concern?

Always call your doctor if you are concerned about something! Always!

Never experienced this so I'm not sure.

Sounds like round ligament pain. It can linger for hours especially the further along you get. I get pains like that when I shift too quickly. I sometimes forget I'm pregnant and try to move to quickly lol

Thanks ladies ! The pain has subsided for now. If it comes back I will call the doctor. I agree, I need to start acting like I'm pregnant lol moving slower and not lifting heavy stuff anymore

I am 20 weeks and is the first to say i don't feel pregnant. So a lot of times I forget and do my normal routine at my normal speed. However, This happened to me Saturday and yesterday (Monday), almost knocked me to the floor. Called my doc and she asked me to walk her through every detail in what I was doing when the pain occurred. I was cleaning the house Saturday, vacuuming and washing clothes, boom the pain hit! Monday I was running late for work and quickly got out of bed and was rushing getting ready 10 mins later, boom the pain hit plus it shot pain to my groin area. So my doc confirmed it was round ligament and that I can't make sudden movements even if I "don't feel pregnant". She told me I can no longer do any strenuous activity as my uterus is growing daily. Also she told me to increase my water consumption.

@macgall thanks for your post ! I'm certain that's what I must have been experiencing. That's kind of how I've been going about my daily routines as well, still doing stuff I could do before, but I guess we need to be mindful of our growing uteruses !

Yes! Now I see why my mom and sister has been preaching to me about getting rest and letting them help me around the house. So what I experienced was a definite "I told you so" from them. Lol I guess mama knows best.

Yay round ligaments! Gotta love how there seems to be nothing that makes it go away...

Sounds like round ligament pain! I get it when I shift too quickly especially going from sitting to standing too fast!
