I also don't know where you live but you can search babywearing international of (where you live) on Facebook and there might be a group to help you. The one here in Salt Lake has meet ups where you can try on various carriers and actually rent them out for a few weeks!
The insert is mostly about head control....if she is pretty stable you can go without the insert....some people just roll up a recieving blanket at the bottom of it and it will lift them up a bit. The 360 is great cause there is an outward facing option which my son loved when he was old enough!
I was thinking of both the ergo and the ktan... Hmm... Those are the two I'm stuck on. I am a bigger girl so what worries me is being able to fit in it lmao! My baby is pretty big too so I'm thinking for ergo the insert isn't necessary? That's also something I wasn't sure of! Thanks ladies!
Babywearing is a life saver when you have another kid. Cause it allows you to "hold" the baby and be hands free. Emmie also takes the best naps in this wrap compared to her swing....she sleeps through everything!
This is a moby...like she said it's a bit tough to wrap but when you get use to it it is great! I heard solly wraps are nice too. I'm looking into a ring sling....I think it would be best for quick errands. I also have a ergo 360 which my little boy use to love but emmie is too small for it now. You can buy an infant insert for them but I'll just use the wrap till she's big enough!
I think the Moby comes in sizes and you can wrap it once or twice around your waist. I have a M and I weight about 160lbs. YouTube has great videos for wrapping it too. I've heard great things about the ergo too.
