2.5 cm dilated Went in for my 35 week check up. He did a dilation check and I am 2.5 cm and 75%…

I had my appt yesterday and asked him to check me cause I was having really painful contractions and some spotting. He said I'm 2cm dilated and my cervix is really soft & thin. I started dilating about a month before I had my other kids and was 3-4 at my last appt before I went into labor

Is it normal to be checked at 35 weeks? I haven't been checked yet but my 35 week appointment is tomorrow

Don't know? My doctor said it was at 35 weeks that baby should be head down so he wanted to make sure she was in position?

I was 4cm for almost a month with my first. So I think you'll be fine haha

4 cm! That's crazy! I got my epidural when I was 5cm!

With my last I was dilated for 3 weeks at 3.5 cm. She was finally born at 39 weeks 3 days after the dr stripped my membranes. She was 9lbs 14oz!! All natural.

With my 2nd I was at 3cm for 2 months and still had to be induced

When I got checked with my first 2 pregnancies at 38 & 39 weeks I was 7cm & 8cm. I was never in labor until I had my waters broken. So I know you can be dilated and still just "walking around". Although, I don't think it's normal to be that dilated and they definitely made me stay at the hospital after checking me since they were afraid I would go into labor and have the baby before I made it back to the hospital.

Usually at 35/36wks they will check, but my dr said it also depends how I feel.... since I have had a lot of pressure down there I plan on seeing if there is any progress.

I had quite a few contractions last night but they weren't consistent....sure did hurt though. Will be interested to see what I am at on Wednesday! Baby can't come this weekend cause my doctor is out of town! Ha
