Age? Is it liquid or is it clear, watery and mucusy? How many days? Hydration is really the only option. It can last ten days in infants. Any longer and he needs a doctor visit.
I was told children can't have anti diarrhea meds until their 5 by my daughters pediatrician so all you can do is keep the baby hydrated as best you can. Watch for signs if dehydration, skin that doesn't bounce back when lightly pinched, sunk in eyes, yellow or grey in the whites of the eyes, and sunk in fontanelle (soft spots on top and back of babies head) if you see any of those signs go straight to the er otherwise schedule a visit with the pediatrician if it lasts for more than 2-3 days.
If it's watery, it's definitely diarrhea. If she is on solids, I would offer some pedialite with each solids feeding. At 9 months, my son had diarrhea for two days and I took him in. His pediatrician didn't give him meds. He just said to keep him hydrated and that infant diarrhea can last ten days.
