I had 4 membrane sweeps with my daughter and the first two felt like nothing changed but the last two felt like I was going to go into to labor lol - after the 3rd one I lost my mucous plug and had some bleeding with tons of cramps but then nothing happened!

I ended up being 2 weeks overdue and induced ?‍♀️

Yeah I’m thinking I’m gonna say no more if this one doesn’t end up doing anything (which I doubt it will) thanks for sharing prycero! I will just wait for baby. They did say I’ll be induced at 41 weeks at the latest if nothing happens.

I had one at 37w and one at 38w and they didnt really do anything but help me lose some of my mucus plug. I didnt cramp much at all or anything.. I was hoping at my 39w appt yesterday that they would do another one which might have sent me into labor because its much closer to my due date.. But my OB wasnt there so i had to see a different Dr and i wasnt satisfied with my visit. So now i have an induction set for the 15th! I dont really want to be induced but i dont think ill go into labor on my own by then ?

My doctor won’t do them ??‍♀️ . He said nothing is proven to work to help induce labor aside for medicine and so he won’t do it . He said most things that work for women are coincidence . But he said most women are going to go into labor naturally anyway between 39 and 41 weeks ? so I’m hoping that’s the case for me since I’ll be 41 weeks on Monday . Sending some baby dust your way !!! I’ll be induced on the 16th if I don’t go into labor naturally !

Thanks girls! Not much action this morning but I’m on my way to work a 12 hour shift so maybe all this walking will stir it up again. If not I might try the sweep again at my 40 week appt. I can’t believe I made it this long!

I’m impressed that you are still working 12’s! I can not imagine being on my feet for that long! Hopefully the sweep will get things rolling for you!!

I had a sweep at 38w on a Thursday at 11:30 a.m went into labor 38w2d. My contractions started Friday at 1pm right after I walked my normal 2 miles on treadmill. Had my son Saturday at 5:18p.m. I had been losing mucus plug for a couple weeks prior. And that Friday I lost more but with blood. Good luck. Labor dust your way momma!

Well I’m getting cramps and contractions again now but I’ve been at work for 7 hours so that’s to be expected. ? I’m so tired of working! Luckily it’s only 3 days a week so I only have 6 more shifts to go even if I go to 41 weeks. ??

I had 1 with my second at 39 weeks. Contractions and cramping the rest of the day and labor started in the night. Only a 4 hour labor, it was fast and much easier than my first.
