Placenta accreta?
I was already kind of high risk because I'm 35 and I had a previous preterm birth at 36 weeks with an irritable uterus and many times in for contractions that wouldn't stop. I'm on my second baby now and I'm 18 weeks. I found out today that I might have placenta accreta. They said part of my uterus is thin and that it might be due to the placenta growing into it. Anyone else have any experience with this?

I was told yesterday I am at risk also based on my 12 week ultrasound. They wasn't to recheck at 16 wks. I am also over 35, and have had 2 c sections so I am here with you! Searching for info! Sorry I'm not help but at least we aren't alone.

Thanks for posting. It does help to know I'm not alone! It's so scary to think about what an happen. Luckily mine is not a previa as many accretas are. I've not had a c section before but I have had a d&c for a miscarriage before this pregnancy.

I recently had a d&c before this pregnancy (in April). And I edited my previous reply.. I'm way over 25! I'm 38 ...

Lol I wondered if you meant 35. My d&c was in January. Congrats on your rainbow! I have read that c sections and d&c put you at higher risk. ?

Thank you! I had my appt with the specialist today and they said my placenta is fine. I'm so relived!! ❤️ in case anyone else is searching this...initial ultrasounds can be wrong. ?
