UTI So I guess I have group b strep in my urine. I have no symptoms but I have to take antibiotics…

My sister in law just had her baby boy, she also had strep B down there, they gave her antibiotics, and when she had him, as a precaution they gave her antibiotics threw iV when she was being induced so she wouldn't pass it on too baby

Yeah I had it last pregnancy as a vaginal swab but never in my urine. I had the antibiotics during labor last time as well. I guess I'm just a carrier for it. ?

I just found out that I have this. It's my 3rd pregnancy and I didn't have it with my other two, so it's all new to me.

My dr said it doesn't effect the baby until delivery but that since its in my urine I have to take antibiotics now and they will automatically give them in labor as well. I'm half way done with the antibiotics and now I feel like I'm getting a yeast infection! I just want to cry! ?

Ugh , me ! I had there same thing -__- i had my doctors appointment on Jun 14 and by that weekend I felt as if I was going to get a yeast infection so that same moment I went to Walgreens and grabbed some Monistat and applied it .. the following Friday I get a call from doctors saying I had a UTI . Drank my antibiotics.. the worst ☹️
