Pretty standard for this age. My LO has been very clingy and is obsessed with going outside. My first was the same way at this age. I just try and get the kids outside time everyday, weather permitting.

My son is doing the same. The past two days have been bad with the tantrums. He throws his head back and throws himself on the floor if he doesnt get his way. How do you stop this?

Yep. My son is the same. He's OK if he's playing in the living room and I'm in there, but for example I went to the kitchen to make us breakfast yesterday, he followed me and was playing with his ball on the tile. As soon as he noticed I wasn't paying attention to him and I was cooking he started running around the center island screaming, and every round would throw himself on the floor then get up to do it again. It was almost comical, poor little guy. Luckily all I was doing was cooking a couple of eggs, so it didn't last long, but grief. He also tantrums to go outside. He'll grab his shoes and run to the door. Yesterday was extremely windy so we didn't go out and he had another major meltdown. I'm finding the art of distraction is key for the tantrums at this point.

Yup but ours is even worse and been happening for months. I can't put him down, be out of sight, touch anyone else, no one else can touch, if my older two kids want cuddles he goes nuclear, throws horrid tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants, won't sleep without me, or sleep through the night and when he wakes up he screams for ever. I am impatiently waiting for this faze to pass. I'm pregnant again and very exhausted.

Well glad I'm not alone ladies! I have found that distractions work for a little while. He has started talking a little and I swear all I hear is No no no no no allllll day long! I'm glad it's normal though! Thank you!

Aww I'm jealous, my dd has never been much of a cuddler she still barely does. I guess try enjoy all the cuddles as much as you can before he is a teenager and doesn't even want to be seen with you ? but no I can image how hard it must be when he constantly wants you and you can't do anything

Well it would be nice if he wanted to cuddle but it's more like he wants to literally hang on my legs until I pick him up and then he wants me to carry him around. If I try to sit he get all squirmy. He's just so big ? I know there will be a last time that he wants me to hold him and I shouldn't complain ?

My dd is the exact same as mommy2sky. She screams bloody murder if my 2 other los come near me, god forbid they sit on my lap, she goes balistic! She screams for bath time and constantly needs to be picked up and held. Shes starting to cry at bedtime and i need to now rock her to sleep again. At least its a phase, i was worried i would have this forever nasty tantrum throwing kid forever.

Yes! My daughter is going on 15 months & throws a fit too when she has to come inside as well as when put down or try to go to the other room.
