First appt not til 9 weeks! ?

I'm surprised a lot of women are going in early 5-7 weeks for first doctor appointments. The Doctors in my town won't even consider seeing a pregnant women till after 8 weeks unless it's an absolute emergency. I personally thinks it's better that way to be seen after 8 weeks because even then you can barely see anything & actually hear the heart. No sense in going in early than complaining or being worried because the doctor & you didn't see anything or hear a heart beat yet. The waiting sucks but so worth it when you can see a tiny fetus after 8 weeks.

iv got my 1st appointment at 10weeks and my 1st scan will be around 12 weeks its such a long wait but will totally be worth it i cant wait to see my lil bean x

Same here! My first appointment is at 9 weeks and I'm not even sure when my first U/S is!

My first is at 9 weeks but the upside is that I'll get an us, hear the heartbeat, and actually see my baby!

I'm actually going Jan 20 lol. I called and changed it so it was a couple days earlier. I'll be 8 + 2. They said yeah now it's later cause insurance wasn't wanting to pay and a lot of time they couldn't see anything earlier so people were having to come back.
