Sleeping through the night
Sleeping through the night
So I know this sounds weird and crazy but my LO will sleep through the night if I only give milk during the day. If I give solids- even just one time he wakes at night. He drinks the same amount of milk whether he has the solids or not. He is 7 months and loves his food. Does this happen to anyone else? At first I thought it was just coincidence but it's happened a bunch of times.

My baby doesn't sleep through the night. Not even close but I do notice hes a tad bit more up when fed baby food but it makes sense since thats a tad harder to digest so their bodies have to work harder to digest it

I've noticed that sweet potatoes keep my guy up especially if he eats them late in the day.

Yes! Our pediatrician had me up solids to 3 times per day. He was sleeping through the night....if he did wake, it was only once. Since going to solids 3 times per day, he's up a minimum of 3 times per night. The night before last he was up more times than I could count. It's awful.

Well I'm glad I'm not crazy but I wish it would stop! Do you think it will once they get more used to it?

My LO progressively has gotten worse at night ?
Went from waking up every 2 hours to every 30 minutes. Food variety and intake doesn't make a difference.

Maybe the food is upsetting his stomach

Last night was a little better. Still up three times, but better than it has been recently. I'm trying to feed him his last bit of solids by 5 and see if that helps. It did yesterday, but we'll see how tonight goes

I actually read about this today when researching sleep and night meanings, like pp stated, its how their bodies are digesting food and when their digestive system is more mature it will be better.

That's really interesting. I've been giving her food around 5pm, should I maybe not give it to her that late then?
