Anyone else's baby want to sleep with their face in the mattress? He has just started rolling to tummy. I don't like…

My baby boy has been doing this since he was 3 months old. I don't like it so I set my alarm every 30 minuets starting at 10pm to check on him and see if he is face down and if he is I roll him back onto his back ? haha makes me a nervous wreck? I have the angel care monitor but it doesn't ease my worry when he is sleeping like that haha ?

Yes!!! This looks exactly like my little guy!!! It really bugged me at first but I've gotten used to it....I posted a similar pic a while back and some mommies made some helpful comments if ya wanna take a look ?

Yeah unfortunately this is my LOs comfortable position. Even if it put her in the crib on her back she still manages to be on her belly. Sometimes face flat on the mattress but if I do see that I move her head to the side.

My first used to do this all the time. Made me a nervous wreck. ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this. I'll just keep trying to make him turn his head I guess. Do you guys have the Angel care or any sort of monitor?

I have the Angel care monitor and would probably get no rest without it !

Hubby says we don't need a monitor but it's driving me crazy. I woke up tonight at 3:00 and he was face down with his hands under his face. I tried to move his head and he just woke up and got mad. ? also do you think it's safe for him to be in a swaddle sack with the arms out? The sleep sacks I've tried are gigantic and they don't seem safe cause there is too much fabric by his neck or the neck is too large.

I have no advice for the face in the mattress. My LO sleeps on his tummy but always turns his head to the side. We use the sleep sack with the wings and just wrap his chest, leaving his arms out.

Once they can roll and have good head control they are fine. They will move their head if they need to.

All of mine do this too. One of my 2 year olds still loves his face smashed into the mattress and a pillow on top of his head. Drives me insane but it's his comfort thing I guess

Mine decided to become a tummy sleeper yesterday! I can't sleep knowing he's like that, but he flips into that position even if I roll him to his back. The only thing I can do is lay him on his back to sleep. And if his face is down, I turn his head.

Yeah I can't stop it either. I decided to go ahead and get the owlet even though hubby said its a waste of money. I think it'll help me sleep better knowing that if there is a problem it will let me know. I can't wait for it to get here. I'm a wreck.

There is no problem with it like pps says once they can roll they are fine to sleep on belly! The only thing I hated was my son was constantly getting his arms and legs in the bars of the crib. We got a breathable mesh crib bumper it's a life saver :)

Yes. My daughter does this and scares me every time. I wake up constantly to check her. If she is face down i move her head to the side. Ever since she learned to roll over she sleeps on her belly. It was much less stressful when they slept on their backs and were swaddled! ?
