Yes he put himself that way. I always put him on his back and he rolls to tummy. He has good head control but he doesn't know how to roll back. I ended up waking him cause he had pooped. He went back to sleep on his tummy again but at least without his nose in the mattress. That's what worries me.
My little guy does the same thing. Nose right in the mattress. I always put him down on his back. At his last doctors appointment she said if he can roll over then to leave him be. I still don't like when his nose is right in the mattress so I'll move his head so his nose is to the side.
Moving his head made him wake up tonight. ? I don't know what to do! Hubby says we don't need an angelcare or a snuza but I can't stop worrying. Also do you think it's safe for him to be in a swaddle sack with his arms out? The tension on his legs helps him settle. All the sleep sacks I've tried are gigantic and I don't like them.
I'm not sure about the swaddle. I haven't swaddled my son in months. When I turn his head I have to be very stealthy or he wakes up too. I often watch him first to be sure he is deeply asleep. Not sure what else to suggest. My husband said I should go with my gut feeling if I don't like his nose in the mattress whether that means turning his head or rolling him over. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Yeah mine will flip in his sleep too. Slept on his hands once because he had the finger imprints on his face ?. But if he got into that position himself it's okay. Just no swaddling the arms anymore.

My LO does the exact same and I do have the owlet monitor. His oxygen level is always 99-100 %

This is exactly how my 2 year old slept from 3 months on. It was nerve wracking. I bought a mesh crib bumper to keep his limbs in ( mainly his feet).

I'm glad to hear that other babies do it and are ok. I'm just so paranoid that something is going to happen to him. He is my whole world.
