Postpartum bleeding !?
I had my baby 7 weeks ago and I'm STILL bleeding. It went to brown at about 2 weeks pp and stayed that way until last week it became very stringy and like mucous. Then it started to get red and pink again like a light period. Then the last couple days I've started cramping. I saw my midwife last week and she didn't seem concerned and said some people bleed for a couple months. Have any of you had this? I'm ebf so I don't think it's my period. The bleeding never stopped and I never got the yellow/white lochia.

Almost 9 weeks pp and I'm still bleeding on and off. It's so dark it's almost black. ? Dr. didn't seem concerned at 6 week checkup. I also started the mini pill which could have something to do with it.

Everything I read says this isn't normal but the dr says as long as I'm not passing clots or tissue it's fine. I'm so sick of it.

I bled for 7 weeks.
FYI, just because you're EBF does NOT mean you won't get a period. With both my kids, I got a period within a couple weeks of the end of my pp bleeding and I EBF.

Thanks. I'm wondering if it is my period? I didn't have a break at all of no bleeding but who knows. I guess I just wait it out.

It very well could be your first pp period, but I would wait until you have an actual break before counting something as a period, personally.
