Hair cut...yay or nay? My hair is halfway down my back and it's time to cut it. I'm thinking of this…

Short hair takes alot more time to style. (No buns?) Remember if you get it cut get it cut way longer then the pic because your curls will shrink up and make it super short.

I think the cut is pretty. I would go to someone who knows how to cut curly hair.

Finding someone who knows how to cut curly hair is my biggest obstacle. One of the reasons it's still so long is that the two stylists I've gone to in the last year have not been skilled with curls and I was too scared to let them do anything more than dust the ends off.

If I cut it like this, I plan on the front being a little past my shoulders, so the whole lob would be longer.

Where do you live?? I only trust Devachan or Ouidad stylists with my hair and if I had to choose Devachan. They comb your hair out and cut it dry and in its natural state so the cut is made for your curl pattern instead of straightening it or wetting it and making a cut for a texture your hair is normally not in.

Agree w pp, go to a curly girl stylist. They do wonders.

I live in the Palm Springs area in SoCal. The closest devachan is 60+ miles from me.

I had the same stylist for nearly 20 years in philly and she knew my curls inside and out.

I know nothing about your area....in the town I m in now 60 mile would be 40mins-1hr drive and when I lived in NYC it took me 40 mins on the train to get to my stylist....worth it lol.

My area is rural. It would probably be a 60-75 minute drive for me. It might end up having to be worth it. Lol

Yes! I LOVE curly hair. I can't tell you how many bad perms I've gotten over the years trying to get hair like yours!

I guess I'll be the odd ball I don't like short hairstyles on curly hair. I also think the haircut on your hair may be hard to maintain. I cut my hair off when I was 18 and it was a nightmare it was cute when it was straight but when it was curly I looked like a poodle

Do it! Shorter hair would give your curl more bounce. She has different curl then you which I'm sure you realize. But I still think it would look great.

I think it's cute! ❤️❤️❤️ Go somewhere that specializes in curly hair or else it could turn out bad. Maybe find somewhere that uses the Ouidad method. Curly hair needs to be cut differently than straight hair to look its best.

Super cute style but depending on how tight your curl pattern is, you may want to leave it 3 or so inches longer than the photo.

Curly hair is always recurled and touched up in pictures, so that doesn't bother me. I've had a similar style and it wasn't difficult to maintain-I find long curly hair is difficult because it (or at least mine) gets tangled and knotted super easily. And my hair is super thick, so the weight of the hair pulls the curls out. My curl pattern when it's shorter is not too far from the models.

I like that haircut. Just keep in mind that shorter hair is harder to maintain. I cut my hair short a week ago and its harder to style. I take longer trying to fix it then I did before. Before I'd wake up, run a comb though it and run out the house. That or id put it in a french braid or bun. Now i can't do any of those hairstyles and a ponytail looks ugly since my hair's so short.
