Quick question
I am dairy free right now because my daughter has an allergy. Someone brought me pumpkin spice coffee creamer (I'm basic, don't hate me) that says its dairy free, but the ingredients say it contains a "milk derivative". Can I use it? It's been sitting in my fridge for almost a week now because I'm scared to use it and cause Harper problems.

Is it lactose that your daughter is allergic to?

I have an allergy to milk and I can still use most creamers that are dairy free with a derivative of milk. There's different types. I'm really alergic to lactose so anything lactose free I can have.

If she's like my son no.
But my son can't eat prepackaged foods in general as many include milk of some sort.
If you haven't had to completely go milk free like we did it might be ok

Thanks, ladies. She is allergic to milk protein, not lactose, so I've cut out all dairy, including anything with whey or casein in it. I'd love to have a fun cup of coffee, but not at the risk of her health.
