Painting while pregnant?
Painting while pregnant?
So wanted to do some painting in the soon to be nursery. I've read that latex based paints are ok in a well ventilated area. Won't see my dr for another 2 weeks. Any advice would be great!

Totally fine. Like you said, as long as it's not oil based and you keep it well ventilated, no worries! I painted my nursery myself at 29 weeks

Also a few tablespoons of Vanilla extract will eliminate the smell... the guy at lowes told me that

I painted our hallway just two days ago. It's totally fine unless you start to get dizzy or light headed, then you need to get some fresh air.

Ventilate

Yup-ventilate the room well and if you get lightheaded, stop and get some fresh air. ☀️

We just painted our living room, kitchen and hallway two weekends ago. We got the BEHR Premium Plus Low Odor and Zero VOC Paint. It didn't smell at all, didn't even need to open any windows but did anyway and this paint also dries very quickly. I will be getting the same paint when I paint the nursery!

My dad painted and I know it was okay but the smell got to me so bad I had to leave but if you can tolerate it and it's not oil based and like everyone else said you should be okay

I painted with my last pregnancy at 37 weeks. I wore a mask and kept the windows open. Keep the room well ventilated so youre not inhaling fumes

I got a mask to wear and I couldn't smell anything! I took it off at one point bc my face was hoy and immediately put it back on. The smell was horrible but my mask protected me from it
