any Biomolecular Engineers in here?
How long did it take you to go through school and what we're/are your student loans like?
@pp i definitely just want to do everything all together. No semesters or summers off. I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. But i need to do something.
I'm not biomech... but I have my bachelor's in mechanical engineering!
I did all my gen-ed classes at a community college that was "sister schools" with the university I wanted to attend. Once I decided I wanted to do engineering (after I dabbled in a bunch of general classes for 2 semesters), I completed all my gens in 3 semesters and completed the rest at my university in 2.5 years. So 5 years total on the engineering track.
I could have completed fasted if I'd taken more summer classes, but oh well! :)
Is it a bachelor's, or graduate degree?
I have a bachelor's in Biology (same major as pre-med at my uni). It took me forever to get my Associates at community college while working (and had my dd during that time). No loans for that. Then I went to finish and get my bachelor's. I didn't work and got it done in 2 years (took summer classes also), even though I split with my ex during that time, had to move twice, and was a single mom. I walked away with almost $40,000 in student loans, and that was mainly just living expenses since I had some scholarships, grants, and daycare assistance! ?
It was not easy, but so worth it.
Good luck!
