My 10m old eats at the most 3 tbsp of solids a day. She's tiny and doesn't eat much most days and that's fine. She'll take a few bites and be done. She gets about 20oz of formula a day and nurses 4-5 times a night so solids aren't that big of a deal.

We do BLW so I offer a variety each meal and snack. He usually eats at least one of the foods I offer...
... who am I kidding, he's an animal and eats everything ?

I found timing to be the thing that stopped my dd trying new stuff. We would offer formula then food as didn't want her loosing out on the formula. So we would feed her like 2oz less hands usual about an hour before meal time (we to did blw) then the extra 2oz would be a top up of needed once she'd atw/wore her meal. Seemed to work as it had give the milk time to settle and not make her feel full to reject food.

I just offered something else. It takes kids 10-15 times of trying something to determine if they like it or not. Keep offering the food she dislikes. It takes my son, 15 mo, around 7 times before he decides if he likes something.

Typically I'll just give her bites of whatever I'm eating and if I'm eating something she can't have yet i usually give strawberries or other soft fruits.
Her favorite thing so far is chicken. I just don't want to only ever offer chicken just so she'll eat since she still relies on milk. We're doing some things from blw and some jar baby food. But she's starting to prefer my food over jar food (who wouldn't?)
But yes timing is hard and something I'm still trying to perfect. She only started wanting solids around 8 1/2 months.

Do you two eat together? One thing that helped my son was I just fed him food right off my plate, just used a soft fork to feed him. I would have him watch me eat it, so he knew it was good, then I'd offer him some and 9/10 times he'd eat it after seeing me. I'd always smile and say "mmm!" As I ate it. Once he tried everything on my plate, I'd either keep feeding him or scrape some food from my plate to his tray! I still do that with new food because he's more likely to take it from my plate first than his own.
