constipated 5 month old
It's been almost 3 days since dds last bowel movement. At first she was content and didn't seem like she had discomfort. But in the past couple hours she's been having outbursts of crying that's lasts a minute or two. I can only assume she's having cramps. She's been releasing a lot of little farts but nothing that seems satisfying. How can i help her poop?

My pediatrician said we could use miralax, but you should call and ask yours before you use it.

I would call the ped. But you can try probiotics to help this in the future. Also if baby is formula fed make sure everything is measured right as too much powder could contribute to it.

I always used coloxyl drops for Aliyn. I kept them for any times she started getting constipated. You can get it from the chemist although not sure if they even have them where you are

When my baby was that age we had a exerosaucer seat. I swear we would sit her in it, she would bounce for a few minutes and then poop like crazy!
Breastfeed babies can definitely go a while without pooping and it's totally normal but I understand if she's uncomfortable and you are concerned.

She's breastfed, but it's clear that she'll get pretty uncomfortable at times when she's trying to go. She's passing gas like crazy though. We're probably going to try a teaspoon of Pune juice. She's currently having a hard time getting to sleep because of it. If she doesn't poop by tomorrow morning I'll be calling the pedi.

Try gas drops. Technically breastfed babies can go up to 14 days without pooping as long as they are passing gas.
You can try a thermometer with some Vaseline to stimulate her.
