My lo is 6wks old and the past few days she's having serious trouble staying awake for feedings. She'll eat for two or three minutes then end up falling asleep for an hour. I know she's not getting enough cause my breast doesn't seem much softer. I have tried everything to keep her awake but nothing is working. I'm worried it's going to kill my milk supply. Sometimes she'll eat for five minutes and then sleep for three hours! I try pumping but my breasts don't respond to the pump much anymore. How can I keep her awake? I really feel like my supply is going down drastically.

Is LO back up to birth weight? If so you don't need to wake them. They will let you know when they're hungry. About this time was when DD started sleeping almost entirely through the night.
She only eats roughly 5 minutes from one breast every feed and shes 4.5 months old.
If LO isn't gaining weight well then I would strip them down during feeds, tickling their foot or even a cold wipe will help

Just let her sleep. Feed her on demand and not on a schedule. Sometimes they drop feedings as they grow older and sleep longer. They also learn to drink faster. Before it could of taken her 15 mins to drink what now takes her 10 or less. She is establishing your supply. If she doesn't eat it will drop to meet her needs and if she starts eating more it will go up agan to meet her needs as well. No worries momma. You might be a little uncomfortable, but it's definitely ok for her not to eat.

Also if she is only nursing for a few mins she is just using you as a pacifier and not actually hungry which is normal as well. As long as she is still having pee and poo diapers she is fine. Babies that age know when they are hungry. She'll wake up when she wants to nurse.

The first thing I was told when I did my first breastfeed whilst still in the hospital was to tickle my daughters feet to keep her awake for a proper feed - and if that failed to begin undressing her from her babygrow (sounds bizarre but she hated getting dressed and undressed so definitely worked to keep her awake).
