take home outfit

What did you bring your baby home in? Sleeper, onsie? Hat or no hat? It'll be fairly warm/just plain hot when I have my baby in early September.

My last son was born in August, we brought him home in a onesie and pants. Even when it's hot, baby is in air conditioning all the time and it can get chilly. I'm also due in September this year and I'm probably going to do a onesie and pants again, maybe a sleeper depending on the weather

We bought cute elephant onesies/pants for the twins but the weather here has been hotter than normal and the onesies are kinda thick. So probably the ninja turtle onesies my brother bought them because we're a family of nerds :)

I was thinking the same as pp. I've seen babies wearing adult-like outfits with heavy shoes. Typically, the outfits look big, heavy, and uncomfortable.

My daughter was born in winter, and it can get really cold here. She wore once of those pointelle one piece outfits in pink with a matching hat and booties. I'm sure this gives you an awesome idea for summer. Lol... my only suggestion is to make sure baby's cute and comfy. I'm sure whatever you decide will be nice.

Pajamas and a hat with a big blanket over. My kids are both NY winter babies. It makes me cringe though seeing babies brought home in jeans, shoes, big huge bows etc. I always think their poor skin is so new put them in something soft and comfy?

It was April, kinda mild weather. He had a onesie and then a sleep suit with 'Mummy's Little Prince' on it. And a hat.

I had brought a cute little NB outfit for my son to come home in with jogging pants, onesie, and a hat but when I gave birth he was so little my mom had went to the store and brought a premie sleep n play for him to wear home( and he literally just wore it home, by the following week it was way to small)

Onesie and long pants and shirt and socks. This baby will be bundled as I'm due in December.

We always have a custom onesie made

Can't remember... But he had a blowout!

Both babies came home in a pajama set. The ones with the hat and bib

Onesie, mittens, socks, beanie.

My son was born in July so it was winter. This next baby will wear the same as he will also be born in winter.

Babies can get overheated just as they can get too cold and it's not always hot inside so keep that in mind, definitely need to layer with a blanket for when you're in the car and hospital.

I had my son at the end of June. We brought him home in pajamas with a onesie underneath. The hat from the hospital and a little blanket.

Thank you ladies for the responses.

I had a July baby. She went home in a onesie with no hat. It was cotton and lightweight so she didn't overheat.

Onesie and a hat and because it was early fall a fleece blanket.

The ugliest outfit ever lol. He fit none of the new clothes we had for him since he was 11lb 7oz so we just pulled together random stuff that kinda fit lol

I would pack the whole outfit you have picked out, and you can always leave out the pants if it's too warm for them!

Since I'm having a July baby bought a cute shirt that's dark blue and says small but brave, matching red and white striped shorts, a Bib that I

I live in Florida, I'm worried about overheating. I was thinking a onsie, pants, socks and mittens. Is that to much? I can always remove the pants if she gets fussy before we get home.

Just a onesie. She was born in July, so it was like 100 degrees outside.

A cute onesie with little sweatpants and a matching sweater. It was November and a bit cold. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we put him in the car and drove him home for the first time.

My twins (May) went home in onesies and cozy pants and my 3rd (October) went home in a sleeper onesie. I like them to be comfy!

I dressed him in weather appropriate, yet still comfortable clothing. He was born in early September, he had a onesie, socks, mittens and a hat, with a blanket over him.

It was the middle of winter, and I live in Montana, so I just dressed him as warm as I could. I just had newborn clothes and he could fit preemie best.
