Hubby's housework
What kinda housework or chores does your hubby do?
Vacuuming, steam cleaning, washing up (shared), loading the dishwasher (shared), laundry (shared), gardening, diy (eventually it gets done), cooking every other weekend - he would love to cook more but doesn't get home early enough during the week to cook for our daughter.
Shared house work is done by whoever gets a chance.
He's also very hands on with our daughter.
I used to think all men were like him, then I joined bb. Now I feel lucky to have him!
They're almost all shared. When he works I do the daily cleaning/up-keep and when I work he does. I do all the cooking though. I enjoy it.
As far as the yard, we both mow. He does most of the landscaping/gardening though. I assist when I can. That's his baby, he loves working in the yard.
I have a low battery in the fire alarm above my stairs and he hasn't changed it. It chirps all day and night. Two days ago I told him that I was going to ask another dude to do it and that was a fight lol. It. Still. Beeps. I know I'm capable but I'm freaken pregnant and shouldn't have to do something dangerous like that. It's the principle dude. He's cut off right now.
My hubby takes out trash and does laundry besides folding and putting it away.
Really, not much unless I ask him to do something. I'm a sahm and I have a system and routine down to a science for cleaning the house inside and out. I have a certain way that I like things done, so when my husband makes an attempt to clean or put things away, sometimes I end up redoing it anyway. ? He's not useless in the least bit. I'd just rather have things done the way I like them done, especially because he works so much and I like for him to spend time with the kids when he's home so that I can get my alone time- aka cleaning time. I know that's not for everybody, but it definitely works for my family.
Anything hard work or things that need to be fixed. From the light switch to oil changes. He doesn't lift a finger inside the house unless he wants his stuff a certain way but normally he shows me how he likes it. I hated it at first but I'm used to it since I finally realized that's how he grew up.
