Nervous husband
My husband and I are expecting our first baby and I'm super excited! He's worried that he won't know what to do or that he won't be a good father. I tried to reassure him that we will have each other and our parents for support and that he will be an amazing father, but he's still worried. He's the first of his guy friends and cousins to be a father so he doesn't have a lot of other guy/dad support. I know he's very happy and also excited about having his first child but what can I do to make him feel more confident? Any other first time dads feeling the same way?

Take a newborn care class and other prenatal classes and
have him go with you, they'll help him know the basics and the rest is pretty easy. Good luck momma.

Thank you ladies for the advice! The newborn care class sounds like an excellent idea :)

In my opinion-the only thing that worked was actually going through the process once our daughter arrived. I think most new parents, no matter how excited, are nervous that YOU are solely responsible for a person.
I was very grateful the 1st week that we didn't have tons of visitors so we could figure out this new life/baby.
Classes are helpful but until you have that bundle it's hard to truly feel comfortable. He will do fine. When baby gets here just try to make sure he is as involved as possible.
