I'm on lovenox injections daily so I'm not able to have an epidural or a spinal block. If I had to have an emergency section I would have no choice but to be put to sleep and that honestly scares me. I would rather be awake. I'm praying I won't need a c section though

Crazy how we can be so different. I wish I could be okay with the idea of being awake ? Hopefully I can get some meds to help me relax.

You can probably ask to get put to sleep. They do the epidural instead for csections so that mothers can see their baby when they first came out. You can probably opt for it, I have pretty bad anxiety too. Honestly I'm not trying to think of the csection lol I'm too scared

I told my husband if I get a c section, they better put me to sleep or I'll leave. As funny as it sounds I'm pretty serious.

But you don't even get to hold your baby for a while after a c section when you're awake. The video said it takes about 3 mins to deliver the baby and 30-45 mins to stitch you all back up. It's not that I don't care enough about my baby, I've just had problems with anxiety since I was a child. It's not easy to overcome.

If they give me anxiety meds, they've gotta be strong because Xanax hardly helps and this day will be the icing on a wedding cake haha

If I had to have a csection I would absolutely have to be out for it. I don't respond well to pain relievers , numbing stuff etc. I once had a belly ring cut out of me without pain relief because the doctor could not give me any more of the numbing stuff

Ouch! That sounds very painful. I always wanted my belly button pierced but after I found out how they grab a chunk of your skin and pierce it. And how it can get infected I was over it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Some people make you feel horrible for it. But I just know myself better than anyone.
