Wow that's just crazy! I'm a FTM also and freak out over everything. Some times I feel like I'm being a baby.. But the pains I've been having recently have seriously hurt! & it makes me wonder how I'm going to get through the next 15 weeks! And I have soooo much respect for pregnant mommas with more babies at home! I can't imagine feeling like this and taking care of other children on top of it! (Eventually I'm sure I will though.. Hopefully by then my patience and pain tolerance is better! Haha) but anyway, have a great night! Relax and keep those feet up! I'm about to devour a pizza and watch a movie myself! ?

My first baby and my first times going to L&D ever and I get treated poorly. They make me feel like nothing is wrong. Hopefully my dr can help me more because I'm sure I'll still feel like this. It's only been getting worse since Monday.

She is ? I can't believe I had her again! And she didn't even mention seeing me Monday, I had to mention it to her and of course re-explain myself from the last visit. No biggie but she didn't even remember coming in the room after I explained myself. It was just Monday. Doesn't seem like that many days ago.

Thank you :) My last severe pain was around 3am but while I was out running errands I tried to have a bowel movement and it hurt my abdomen so I stopped. Plus, I didn't have to go bad at all. I was just going to try because I had felt a little but of pain. Then I got home and had soft stool but thankfully no pain.

That's good they stopped. Hopefully they don't return ? Thankfully I quit my job my last month to focus on my health, for reasons like this haha I couldn't imagine working or having a kid with this crap. Literally. Lol I'm a FTM. Oh gosh! She sounds horrible!!!!! She needs to find a new career because clearly her bedside manor sucks! I'll be praying for you! Are you still having the pains and soft BM? Mine have stopped right now.. But mine usually get bad at night. (Including the back pain). Idk if you work, or have any other kids, but if you could go home and rest, I would! That's all I've done today and it seems to have helped for now. Hopefully you get some great sleep tonight!

Well, I tried calling my drs office. The nurse suggested going to labor and delivery again. So I did. The same useless midwife was there. ? She seemed annoyed to see me again and made snarky comments like, "I'm sure you're tired of coming here". I'm more tired of having painful cramps/BMs and not getting any dumb help!! I won't be going to L&D unless I'm dying. She prescribed GasX and said to talk to my dr on Wednesday. She's the kind of midwife who pushes over any pain as it's completely normal and a part of pregnancy. I told her about the pain on my left side of my abdomen from having a BM and she said its round ligament pain. Mean while I don't get any sleep at night. I know pregnancy is rough, I haven't had an easy pregnancy but when it comes to severe pain I worry because I know it is not normal. Especially severe cramping/contractions. I'm just so upset.

Ugh you poor thing! Mine finally went away after I had a BM. But I just tried to eat and the pains are faintly there. I researched a lot this morning and like PP said, I think my baby may be laying and squishing my intestines.. The past week I have really grew. So I'm guessing baby may be going through a growth spurt, which would explain why this just started..

I called my dr, and am waiting on a call back. They take forever to respond... So I highly doubt I hear anything soon. Keep me updated on what you hear!

Baby and uterus are squishing everything. Baby could be in a position that is pushing on or pinching off areas that your gas/poop is trying to get through. Hopefully it isn't anything serious and you feel better soon! I've been pooping once every 7-9 days and that's with 120 ounces of water a day and green leafy veggies. Feels like I'm getting stabbed in the ovaries and kidneys when I actually go.

My BH contractions are always where my whole uterus turns super hard for about 30 seconds or so. Like, I can feel the entire thing from top to bottom and its just an uncomfortable cramp feeling. Gas pains are Way different.

Ugh I'm so sorry. ? I woke up about 3am (it's now 4:20am) with some gas and couldn't go back to sleep but I knew the pain was going to be coming soon. I just knew it. I knew my body woke me up for it ?

And of course I was right. Pain so bad it felt like a contraction, nearly crying. After it went away I decided to just go sit on the toilet. Long behold, I had another very soft bowel movement. It hurts ? I'm so over this. Now I'm just thinking something is wrong with my intestines. But I'm pissed off because I haven't changed my diet, didn't have previous constipation. I have noooo idea wth brought this on.

I'm to the point where I'm calling my dr first thing in the am. I can't wait til Wednesday. I'm going to go crazy. Especially since I tried to be seen in L&D a few days ago and they just acted like it was nothing. It sure doesn't feel like nothing! Ugh. I keep trying to research this and I don't find much that's helpful which doesn't put my mind at ease.

Yeah, I wish drs didn't do that. Make you feel like you're dumb. I miss having a good dr that I 100% enjoy but we move too much for me to build that kind of relationship with one. So I'll keep this post up to date when I get any info.

Back pain. Yes. And pelvic pain.

@Envy.. I'm seriously going through this AGAIN! Something has gotta give! I'm not going #2 as often but the gas pains are HORRIBLE! I was up every 30 min (no joke) rolling from side to side because my back and belly were hurting so bad. And every single time I would roll over I would get INTENSE gas pains! I know I need to call my dr. But I'm afraid they're going to act like I'm dumb! (They make me feel stupid 90% of the time) so, if you hear why or what is causing your pains.. Let me know! and I'll do the same for you! It needs to stop!

Oh also, are you having back pains?? I feel like I may scream if I have another horrible back pain too ?

Does anyone know why the gas pains are so painful? Like, has anyone asked their dr?

I think gas. I get shocking, double over type pain with gas/movements. BH don't hurt at all really til closer to the end and there is always a tightening of the whole uterus - not just down low.

I believe gas pains would feel more like period cramps. Braxton hicks or contractions feel like a corset being tightened around you.

Oh wow! That would do it for me haha like a cleanse. My DH and I were talking about it two days ago and I haven't ate anything that could have started this, or changed my diet. I'm just dumbfounded.

I was thinking maybe a bug. I drink a lot of water daily, have been for years now. I just love water. It helps with so much.

I went to L&D Monday for the pain, before I had diarrhea. I believed I was contracting or something. Sometimes gas would follow and other times not. They monitored the baby for 20 mins, checked for a UTI and that was it. The dr said it's probably just GI. But why is it so dang painful. Period like cramps or worse is normal? I feel like I'm missing something. Can you tell I'm just over it? Ugh.. I'm like the poop queen over here lol

Had this yesterday.. Tons of cramping and lots of going #2. Eventually I even almost passed out. I called my DR and the nurse said that I could have caught a bug but I personally think my body was "emptying" itself because I had been constipated for a few days.

Anyway, I'll be following to what your dr says.. Mine has completely went away now, so hopefully yours will go away here shortly also :)

Also, stay hydrated! I didn't yesterday and I think that's what caused me to feel faint..

I agree! I started drinking a fruit and veggie juice to help with constipation and the pains started a couple days after. It was one serving of fruits and one of vegetables in each glass. I think it was working too well!

? it's just weird that GI can be that painful and be normal. My appt is Wednesday so if no one helps us find an answer. I'll reply with what my dr says.

I don't have an answer but I experienced similar. My fiance was getting really worried bc the pains were so bad I was moaning loudly. I used the bathroom a lot the night but haven't had any pains since. I'm following so if you find an answer please update.
