I'm not sure it really matters. It's like taking a prenatal vitamin. You just take it everyday and it does the same thing as prenatal.

I been taking geritol for a year before conceive noe I am currently 3 months preggers. You have to prepare your body for the pregnancy, atleast that's what my dr said. If that helps also vitamin d supplement.
