Solids?
My baby is 3.5 months old and is EBF. When are you mamas planning on starting solids? I'm gonna wait for the pediatrician to let me know when to start I'm just curious on what other mamas are doing.

Pretty sure my pediatrician gives the okay at four months, so I’ll be waiting for him to say it’s alright. He’ll be about 4 and a half months when it’s time for his appointment. They want them to be able to sit up first as well also.

I’ll wait closer to 6 months but I kind of take my cues from baby. First thing I look for is sitting independently, then the extinction of the tongue thrust, and then interest in foods.

Thanks ladies! I'm a FTM so I love getting opinions from other moms!

hope his pediatrician lets him put rice in his bottle soon because my baby acts like he’s never satisfied and always hungry !

My pediatrician recommended 6 mo. We plan on doing baby lead weaning.

I work with a pediatrician
He says 4 months is okay to start??

Mine is almost 4 months and I've started him on solids. He is hungry all the time and he eats a whole small container at a time twice a day. He hasnt had any problems at all.

Just some food for thought for those that are thinking of starting solids before 6 months. There is a lot of research that points to it being detrimental to babies in the long run.

My first two kids gastro doctor had me start them on solids at 4 months. I will be doing the same with this LO!

I'm starting at 6 months (EBF), and I'm doing baby led weaning as well.

Can someone explain baby led weaning?

@chloe it’s letting baby feed themselves with solid finger foods
