This may be tmi...I wrote a post about having a bloody mucusy discharge well that discharge has gone away minus here and there im urinating chunks of like mucusy stuff but last night around 1:30 i think i had some contractions! (I am calling my dr) i woke up and was in horrible pain my stomach was hard and when the pain would come i couldnt talk or anything minus stay bent over and cring i felt like i was going to be sick but never got sick but the pain came and would go and only last like a 1 but they werent to close together they were about 5-8 minutes apart and it didnt last a hour so unsure what was going on i was going to get checked last night but it stopped but if it does happen im going right in but im still asking my dr today too.

Definitely ask your doctor to get checked. Hopefully you don't have preterm labor coming.

I'd go in too! It definitely sounds like pre-term labor. Even if it stopped it would be worth getting checked out to make sure there isn't an underlying reason! Keep us posted OP!

Go in! I got admitted to the hospital on Monday and on magnesium to stop contractions. And NOT ALL CONTRACTIONS HURT!! If you had 4 to 6 of those then you should have just gone in even if they stopped. You sound like you're in preterm labor and trust me I know what preterm labor is I was in preterm with my first set of twins and dilated to 3 cm at 23wks. I am now 24wks today and the contractions took 2 days to stop luckily I'm not dilated tho this time. Goodluck! Don't wait sometimes waiting is the worst thing you can do. And even if you go in and it's nothing at least you know your little one is ok.

Wait... You mean preterm labor is possible ATM? I'm 21 weeks tomorrow and baby is head down I've been having braxton Hicks since 16 weeks I think and pressure where the son don't shine...

@xlbutterball... Bh are totally normal and no reason to think your going into preterm labor... what the original poster was having definitely sounds like real contractions thats why people are suggesting pre-term labor. pressure and bh are totally normal for where your at. No worries for you.

If it's so bad y not just go to the er ? waiting can be the difference between getting the help u need to stop labour or having a pre mature baby.

maybe u and ur dr should have a serious talk about when to call n when to go in.

Don't know if pp was refering to me but if so I've been in the hospital anytime I've gotten a pain recently just incase I just didn't know pre-term labor could happen this early I'm a FTM and have no idea of anything not in the books I've studied

Update: Had my drs appointment today. My cervix is closed long and firm so baby girls not going any where soon her heart rates 165 the dr is giving me a week to go with out any syptoms. If i have any then im to start progesterone shots to help keep baby in but if none then he said he will leave us be and just watch us close.i did lose part of my mucus plug and did have some contractions with out change as they didnt last long enough to do much.
