Temp charting

Hi ladies Im ttc and new to charting-when is the best time of day to take my temp? And what apps do you ladies use to track and chart your temps? TIA :)

My chart is becoming more up and sown instead of staying between two temps. I have no clue what it's doing, lol. This morning's temp surprised me since I was expecting 97 or 96.8.

My updated chart, 7dpo ? Haven't had stable temps in awhile. Hoping this is my lucky ? month ??

Short Luteal Phase?
