Traveling with meds

So I'm traveling tomorrow and have to take my lupron shots while away. I had my lupron compounded (way cheaper) and it says to keep refrigerated and away from light. How can I get through airport security and a 4 hour flight and keep it cold? Will they let me bring an ice pack or something? I've traveled with breast milk before and didn't have a problem but I feel like I may have a problem with an ice pack and needles.
