As everyone gets ready and excited to install car seats in their car I wanted to say don’t forget to check the individual manual for your car itself before installing. I was guilty of having installed my daughters car seat with latches in the center of my backseat with never having any idea that my specific car did not provide latch anchor points for the center position. I also wasn’t aware that latches have weight limits. This is my specific cars manual and you can usually find this information under child restraints. We all have to read both our car manuals and the manuals for our car seats. We’re all getting close!!!

Rave! New carseat, the Chicco Nextfit. LOVE THIS SEAT. Even the most carseat inept person can install this seat with latch. LOVE IT.
So if I can't put my car seat in the middle of my car, can I put it on either side of the back seat or is there a specific side? I have a 2005 Nissan Altima.

So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
