VBAC

Who is considering a VBAC? I really can’t decide what I want to do. I’m not sure I even want to try. With my daughter I had GD, my placenta was failing, and she was failing biophysical scans so I was induced. Being induced wasn’t a terrible experience in regards to pain or anything but it was exhausting. I never got past 5cm and had been up for over 36 hours by the time I had a c section and my daughter was born which of course I never slept well again with a newborn haha. Anyway I never want to be induced again. My doctor is encouraging me to have a VBAC but this is our last baby, my husband is going to get a vasectomy. I have high blood pressure and I know it’s hard to say I’ll be induced again but my first doctor said I would be before I had to switch. My current doctor is more relaxed with all of my past health problems and is saying we will just see how things progress. I have no idea if I’ll go into labor naturally and if I don’t I’m really leaning towards just scheduling a c section. I see so many positive stories in the VBAC group though I just don’t know what to decide. What’s been your experience? What are you thinking about doing?

I know I've posted this before but when your water was leaking did it stay leaking or just with movements or what? Did you get contractions shortly after or no? I rolled out of bed and felt warmth leak out but Idk if it was possibly urine or what...never had it happen. It didn't smell like anything really...I know I should either call l&d or go in but I just want some experiences please. I want to wait a bit just in case it's nothing.

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
