Clomid without trigger shot

Anyone want to share their experiences with clomid without a trigger shot? Five years ago I conceived my daughter with one round of clomid at 50mg with no trigger shot. This time I've ovulated on my last two cycles out of four without trigger shots, I'm also on metformin. I'm on day two of my fifth cycle now. I have tricare prime now but wasn't offered a trigger shot five years ago with different insurance so I'm not really sure what's normal from the military for infertility. I'm seeing a ob and he has done no monitoring so far. I've just been getting frustrated and worried going on month five of medication. What's been your experiences?
