Hoping someone in here is knowledgeable about health insurance. I just found out I'm pregnant last week and right now we have a short term health insurance policy (golden rule through United health care). Unfortunately we didn't realize it doesn't cover routine maternity visits. Our new insurance from my husbands job won't kick in till around October 18th. That seems like an eternity to wait to see a doctor. I'm already so paranoid about this pregnancy anyways. Anyone know any other options? Basically I was told I could just pay out of pocket (but I know that's probably gonna be a ridiculous amount of money) or wait till I have the other insurance. I'll be 14 weeks or so by the time October gets here. Anyone have any suggestions?
