Thigh pain! Ouch..

I'm 38 + 1 today and have been feeling these pains in my upper/inner thighs that I don't remember feeling with any other pregnancy, at least not this bad anyway. It's an achy feeling and sometimes shooting pain. What causes these pains?? Is it the baby moving further down? Or are they related to contractions? Because sometimes I feel them with some period like cramping which I know are Braxton Hicks.
