These past two weeks has been crazy . Almost two weeks ago I realized that my daughter Genesis who is 11 weeks old , eyes were yellow . I made her an appointment with her pediatrician . Her pediatrician sent us to the hospital where they did testing . The concern was why is my 2 month baby jaundice she passed her jaundice test when she was born . She had lab work done 3 times and a ultrasound . I got the called for the third lab results , saying that my baby was showing signs of liver failure 😢😢😢 and that she would be rushed to The Children's Hospital of Atlanta. We get there they perform a liver biopsy . My daughter has a liver disease called biliary atresia , and there is no cure 😔😔 . So me and my fiance are just up here waiting for the surgeons to perform a surgery called the Kasai procedure . And that may not even work because she's out of the age limit where it's most successful . If the Kasai doesn't work she will need a liver transplant by time she's one years old. If it does work she will STILL need a liver transplant later in life .
