In the NICU

Brady is in the NICU at a week old. He had some funky breathing going on last night so I called the pediatrician on call. A nurse called me back and had me take his temp and get symptoms. Decided the breathing was due to general debris in nose. We did some saline and sat in the bathroom with the shower running and that took care of that. The alarming thing was his temperature. It was 96.0. Pediatrician sent him to the ER and within the hour we were admitted to the NICU. They ran a full blood work up, a spinal, stuck him under the heat light and are giving him antibiotics. Things are looking OK but the minimum time he will be here is 48 hours to rule out all infections. Just wanted to ask for some prayers that everything remains status quo! I also wanted to see if anyone has ever had a similar experience?? Doctors are pretty confident it was a virus that has passed through him and he will be fine.
