Gap and gender between children

I have a 5 year old boy who will turn 6 right after this baby is born and also a 2year old girl that will be three. Me and my husband haven't found out what were having and i know ill be happy with what ever i get, but i was talking to my hubby and told me he wanted it to be a girl because he thinks that this baby will have a better bond with my two year old since they will both be girls and have a close age gap rather then having a boy and having a 6 year gap between them. Do any of you have boys or girls with a big age gap and have no problem them getting along? My husband put this idea in my head i never thought about and would like to know how it worked out for you and your children.
