Pain management in labor

Never too early to start thinking about this. We just did a tour of the hospital and took a birthing class. The hospital offers an epidural or stadol for pain management. Anyone have any prior experience with stadol, or know anyone who just used stadol and avoided an epidural?

Short Luteal Phase?
