I am on the same page!!!! It's hard, but do NOT give up! Keep looking and go out of your comfort zone! Call the day after you submit your application. That helps sometimes :)

What field are you looking in? Maybe you need to beef up your resume. You can bb and breastfeed at the same time? You're a great multi tasker! You talk to the lady that rings up your groceries? You're a people person! You're a team player. You're motivated. Fast learner. Looking to broaden your horizon.

I needed a job so bad, I was driving an hour each way to my job so I needed something closer. I applied at all the restaurants in my town and didn't hear I thing for a month. I finally went to my favorite one of the bunch and asked to talk to someone about an application. My boss just happened to be standing there. I got a call the next day for an interview and that night I had a job.

Don't give up! Show your face and get out there!!

I'm a medical assistant. yeah I know, it's hard to find jobs as an MA since so many people are doing the same thing. I'm about to start applying to other places not just the medical field.

I agree with pp- going in and actually handing a resume goes a long way! Dress professional and ask who you need to speak to in regards to getting a position there. A lot of people now days just submit an online resume or application and don't go the extra mile to stand out and get their name out there. Best of luck and don't give up. Also, search for trainee positions that allow you to grow within the company and provide you the skills needed for the positions you eventually want.

I didn't have any office experience and all I had was food service experience. I wanted to get a job in an office or some sort so I went to a staffing agency. I got a temp job with a big bank and started out working in the call center for them. I worked hard and got hired on and after a year or so moved up and continued to move up and even to a new bank. I would suggest beefing up your resume and make sure you have a lot of stuff related to customer service on there and check out your local staffing agencies. Easier to get your foot in the door than the standard apply with HR and wait. Good luck!!
