Sleeping Baby
I need some advice ladies . Baby is 3 weeks old and will only sleep on me or her dads chest . As soon as we lay her down in her bassinet she starts to get squirmy and wakes up after about 10 minutes. It came out of the blue because we were not overly spoiling or holding her when she slept we always would lay her down but these last couple days that has been impossible to do . She has slept in the bassinet before perfectly fine , we have even tried to put her in a pack and play and her swing nothing works .

Give her a few days my little man is only a little over 2 weeks old and he started doing that but he is actually sleeping in his pack and play right now and has been for a little while. If that doesn't work could she be gassy or something

Its not spoiling. It's part of their development. Look up trust vs mistrust, it's part of the babies normal development.

I could have written this post lol. The only difference is that my lo 3 weeks today has only slept twice in his bassinet. Took him to a program child and parent to teach me how to settle him and get his to sleep safely in the bassinet and he did it there but once I got him back home he's back on my chest it's driving me crazy. For the last 3 weeks the recliner is been my bed :)

My little girl is 3 weeks as well and we go back and forth with this. I just keep trying to sense what will work. Sometimes I let her lay on me and other times I put her down to sleep. If she wakes up I try to sooth her with a pacifier, plus I put my hand, arm/body up against her and I shush or sing softly. Sometimes it works but not always. Also... maybe try laying her on one of your shirts. The smell might be calming for her.

My lo is like that too she really don’t like sleeping on her back so she sleeps in the bed with me on a flat surface on her tummy ! I’ve become okay with it now Bc she knows to keep her face sideways and not face down. And she doesn’t toss and turn

Its the age too, they get less sleepy and more aware of their surroundings. Mum or dads arms is always going to be their favourite place but not practical since you need to sleep too!
Try swaddling as that helps them feel secure and held.
Also try putting bub down into the basinette awake (but ready to sleep) then they are not surprised when they wake up somewhere different to where they fell asleep. Pat her butt or stroke her head etc if she needs soothing. They quickly learn its a safe place to sleep and that you are still there for them.
