Mucus plug Does it always have blood in it? I think I just lost part of mine but it didn't have…

I didn't have any blood until about 45 mins before I gave birth :)

No. I lost bits at 33 or 34 weeks that were Bloody and I lost bits today that weren't.

For me every time the bloody mucous plug came it was time to go to the hospital to push out a baby. So far I have been losing but there's no blood.

It's possible to have parts of your mucus plug come out. Mine does that for weeks but usually if it's your bloody show labor follows fairly quickly, like with in days.

I lost mine yesterday and it was a clear with slightly yellow tinge. It didn't have any blood. Went to the doctor today and she said that my whole plug was gone. So, I don't think it always has to have blood in it.

I never had blood with my other daughters and I lost my mucus plug with this baby and didn't even realize it

Thanks ladies. I'm pretty positive it was part of my plug then. It was clearish yellow and sticky. And it looked like the pictures I googled lol I know it doesn't necessarily mean labor is near but atleast something happened ?

I lost a piece of mine today and it wasn't bloody either. Was told that was normal and not all are bloody

Wow!! This is my 9th pregnancy and I never knew that a mucous plug didn't have blood. All these years I thought I never saw it. So the yellow mucousy discharge I have seen a lot of lately but I didn't think anything of it. Thanks ladies I will be sure to mention it to my midwife tomorrow at my appointment.

With my first I don't think I lost any mucus plug but did have the bloody show when in established labour. This pregnancy I believe I've been losing parts of my plug (but also lots of discharge- tmi sorry) ☺️

Ladoes mine is yellow discharge but not thick how soon after that is labor

Same here. The doc said yes I was probably losing parts especially since I'm more effaced this week.
